PROVIDENCE, RI (WLNE) – Knead Doughnuts took to Instagram to share that they were one of the two businesses impacted by an early Tuesday morning fire in Providence.

Firefighters were called to the scene on Custom House Street around 4:30 a.m., according to Deputy Assistant Fire Chief Brian Mahoney.

Mahoney said that the fire started as a trash compactor fire and affected two restaurants in the building. Knead Doughnuts confirmed that they were one of those restaurants.

Knead Doughnuts said in the post that they will continue to make donuts but not at the location where the fire happened.

No one was hurt in the fire, according to Mahoney.
