Lackey pitches 4 scoreless innings, Red Sox win

FORT MYERS, Fla. (AP) – John Lackey limited Baltimore to one hit
in four scoreless innings and the Boston Red Sox beat an Orioles
split squad 6-5 Monday.
Manager Buck Showalter, in his first full season with the
Orioles, guided the team. He also planned to run the night game
against the New York Yankees at the Orioles' complex in Sarasota,
about a 90-minute drive away.
Lackey threw 39 pitches, 29 for strikes. He then threw 16 more
in the bullpen.
Orioles starter Chris Tillman gave up three runs and four hits
in three innings.
Boston won in the bottom of the ninth when Yamaico Navarro hit
an RBI single with two outs.
