Lane restrictions to impact traffic on Newport Pell Bridge for 2 weeks
NEWPORT, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority announced Monday that lane restrictions on the Newport Pell Bridge will cause delays for commuters for the next two weeks.
RITBA said traffic on the west side of the bridge will be limited to one lane starting at 7 a.m. on Sept. 21.
Traffic traveling eastbound will also be limited to one lane starting at 9 a.m. that same day.
Officials said the work will last for two weeks and some of the work will only impact eastbound traffic over the bridge.
