Langevin, Zaccaria, Set up for Rematch
Jim Langevin and Mark Zaccaria will square off once again in November for the 2nd District Congressional seat.
Langevin, the incumbent Democrat, fended off a challenge from State Representative Betsy Dennigan and political newcomer Ernest Greco. Langevin captured 57% of the vote, Dennigan 34% and Greco just under 9%.
Businessman Zaccaria easily defeated retired Army Colonel William Clegg, Michael Gardiner and Donald Robbio. Zaccaria came in at 57% to Clegg's 22%, Gardiner's 14%, and Robbio's 10%.
This will be the rematch between Langevin and Zaccaria – in 2008 Langevin beat him by more than a 2-1 margin.
