Large police presence observed on Williams Street in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Providence police, fire and EMS were seen staging on Williams Street in Providence Monday night.

ABC 6 News crews were on the scene where multiple police cruisers were staged and seen with riot shields and rifles.

Crews could hear police speaking over a loudspeaker, “resident of 308 Williams Street, come out with your hands up, this is Providence police.”

A perimeter of crime scene tape was also set up around where cruisers were parked.

No information regarding an incident was immediately available.
