A member of the Rhode Island House of Representative has been subpoenaed to testify in the ongoing 38 Studios lawsuit.
An email sent by Speaker of the House Nicholas Mattiello to fellow state representatives said that one lawmaker had been contacted by a constable regarding service of a subpoena in the 38 Studios litigation.
Mattiello said that he anticipates “other members of the General Assembly who voted on the 2010 Job Creation Guarantee Program” to be subpoenaed.
He noted that that his office is currently “formulating a plan to provide legal counsel for all members” who may be asked to testify.
