Lee to batter the Cape, Nantucket before rapidly improving weather into Sunday
Lee gave us a scare, but fortunately the worst of it will remain off shore.
Cape Cod and Nantucket will bear the brunt of the storms western side with heavier rain and wind gusts over 60 mph. They also run the highest risk for coastal flooding.
Fortunately, high tides won’t coincide with the peak effects of the storm’s passage, so any flooding will be minor. But we will still get some monster wave action over 10 feet!
Clouds will begin to thin out by Saturday evening, with even a colorful sunset possible for our western viewing area. Sunday will be a gem – sunny with highs near 80!
Showers will return Monday before a beautiful remainder of the work week.
