Leverett Connector Bridge blocked off by bikers, police investigating

BOSTON (WLNE) — Massachusetts State Police said they’re investigating after a group of 40 bikers blocked off a busy interstate connector in Boston’s north end.

According to police, around 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 12, they got calls from multiple drivers reporting that the 40 riders on street bikes and motorcycles were stopped on the Leverett Connector Bridge.

Officials said the bikes were blocking both lanes of travel while others did donuts.

When police arrived to the scene, the bikers were gone.

The investigation remains ongoing, police said.
