Lifespan Cancer Institute to hold free breast, cervical cancer screenings in June

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Lifespan Cancer Institute and Lifespan Community Health Institute will hold free cancer screenings for under-insured and uninsured women ages 21 and over on June 3.
The special breast and cervical cancer screening, education, and outreach program will occur from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Rhode Island Hospital.
The appointments include pelvic exams, Pap tests, clinical breast exams, and screening mammograms, and no medical insurance is required.
Most results will be available the same day and arrangements for follow-up care will be provided, the organization said.
Patients will also be offered transportation, language interpretation, childcare, lunch, and parking at no additional charge, they added.
