Lightning strike damages clock tower at Barrington prep school

BARRINGTON, R.I. (WLNE) — A clock tower at Saint Andrew’s School in Barrington was damaged Monday.

The clock tower sits atop Gardnier Hall, which houses their dining hall and a faculty residence.

Director of Communications O’rya Hyde-Keller said the clock tower was struck by lightning during a storm overnight.

There wasn’t any damage to the rest of the building, Hyde-Keller added.
