Lincoln middle school spelling bee

ABC 6 News Anchor Karen Meyers was the official pronouncer of the Lincoln middle school spelling bee Tuesday evening.

Twenty middle schoolers from 4th through 8th graders showed off their spelling talents with words like “boodle” and “waywizer” in the district spelling bee.

The winner was 12-year old Maia Young-Ondrasek a 7th grader, she won with the word “Travesty”.

Maia now goes on to the state spelling bee which will be held next month.
