Lincoln Police Officer Found Guilty Of Battery

A Lincoln police officer has been found guilty of kicking a handcuffed woman in the head, an assault captured on videotape.

Officer Edward Krawetz was convicted of felony battery. He is seen in the video kicking the woman as she sat on a curb outside Twin River Casino in May, 2009 after her arrest on disorderly conduct charges.

Krawetz is a 12 year veteran of the force. He is suspended without pay. He is scheduled to be sentenced March 19th.
