Liz Tufts Named Weekend News Anchor at WLNE-TV/ABC6

News Anchor, Reporter and Producer Liz Tufts will be joining WLNE-TV / ABC6 in Providence as Anchor of the station's weekend newscasts beginning the week of June 13th.  The announcement was made today in Providence by WLNE-TV/ABC6 Vice President and General Manager Chris Tzianabos.  “Liz is a rare find. She is a talented multimedia journalist, with experience anchoring, reporting, producing, shooting and editing stories for air and online,” said Tzianabos. “Her incredible skills coupled with her in-depth knowledge of New England will take our weekend newscasts to a whole new level.”  

A graduate of Emerson College and the winner of several Associated Press Awards, Liz's experience includes time as a Reporter/Producer/Videographer at KLKN in Lincoln, NE. and for the last 6 years, as an Anchor/Reporter for WSHM in Springfield, MA. In addition to her on air duties, Liz was also responsible for on-line content on both stations websites.
