WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) – Here we go again!  Proclamation Ale Company in Warwick is selling another COVID themed beer.  Introducing ‘Knock It Off: The Sequel’.

The brewery’s Facebook page says that this is sadly coming out at exactly the perfect time, as Rhode Island’s coronavirus case numbers surge.

The beer is a 9.5% abv Triple IPA which Proclamation hopes “will put people in just enough of a stupor that they will stay at home and nap instead of going out!”

They describe it as having aromas of bold tropical fruit and candied orange and mouthwatering notes of stonefruit, mango, citrus, and soft tropical fruit.

This is a collaboration with Providence store Frog and Toad.  Back in the spring, the store took Governor Raimondo’s slogan to “Knock It Off” and put it on a t-shirt.  They donated a portion of the sales of the shirts to COVID-19 relief funds.  They also teamed up with Proclamation to make a “Knock It Off” beer too.

This new brew can be pre-ordered on the website or in person at the Warwick location at 2 pm Thursday.

They are also selling a coordinating Sequel glass.

Two dollars from every 4 pack sold will be donated to the RI Foundation’s COVID-19 Response Fund to help support local nonprofits servicing the state’s most vulnerable populations.
