A young woman from Rhode Island who went in for a check-up at Tufts Medical in Boston, nearly 6-months ago, hasn't been able to leave in nearly 6-months.

And as her medical bills pile up and she awaits a heart transplant, her former employer and friend is selling necklaces, to do what she can to help out.

Those who know Samantha Richards say that she's an inspiration, and now that she needs help paying her medical bills, her former employer and friend, Summer Guerrieri is hoping that others will help Samantha in her time of need.

“She was going to school for nursing getting straight a's holding down 2-jobs. I mean she's an amazing person, she really is.” said Summer.

Summer has been working with Samantha since she was just a teenager, and now she's trying to sell as many of these necklaces as possible, to help her friend.

And as the time ticks by and Samantha is stuck in the hospital awaiting a heart transplant, she needs all the help that she can get.

“it's been six months already and insurance can only go so far so we're trying to help out as much as we can.” said Summer.

The necklaces are being sold online at www.cheapwholesalejewelry.com

They cost $7.99 a-piece and all of the proceeds will go towards helping Samantha.
