Local Charity Celebrating Another Big Success
A local charity that helps kids with epilepsy is celebrating another big success.
The 2011 “Snow Angel Ball” was held at the Crowne Plaza in Warwick, Saturday night. The event benefits the “Matty Fund,” a Rhode Island based organization that helps kids and their families deal with epilepsy.
The organization is named after Matty Siravo of Wakefield, who died from complications related to epilepsy back in 2003.
Matty was 5-years-old.
Much of the money raised goes to help send kids with epilepsy to camp.
