Local eye doctor doing his part to make and fix glasses during COVID-19 pandemic

PROVIDENCE, RI (WLNE) – A local optometrist is doing his part to make and fix eyeglasses for Rhode Islanders during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Eric Sears has been an eye doctor for more than 30 years.

Sears says he’ll make glasses for anyone, whether you have a prescription or not.

“The hardest part is you really shouldn’t be wearing contact lenses,” Sears says. “The more you touch your eyes, the more you put your fingers in your eyes, the more susceptible you are to any virus transfer.”

The glasses can be mailed right to your home or you can pick them up.

You can order them on his website called eyeglassrehab.com.
