PROVIDENCE, RI- Funerals will be held this week for the 19 firefighters killed battling a wildfire in Arizona.

Five firefighters from Providence are in Arizona pay their respects to those 19 firefighters.

Last week, the Granite Mountain Hot Shots team lost 19 fire fighters to the Yarnell Hill wildfire.

If tomorrow is anything like what we saw Sunday, thousands will likely attend. Yesterday, a somber caravan of 19 white hearses began its procession from Phoenix.

Firefighters across the nation are expected to attend.

Providence firefighter, Steven Ruhle said, “These people leave behind sons and daughters, their parents. You see their families walk in and it's heart–wrenching. You can't help but to choke up you know because it could be you. No two fires are the same and I don't care how experienced you are, it can happen to you.”

The various funerals are scheduled for this week. Today, the Yarnell Fire is 90-percent contained.
