Local Olympian Newman Cronin Discusses Games Being Postponed Because of COVID-19, Preparing for Olympics During Crisis

Jamestown’s Carol Newman Cronin sailed for the United States in the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Greece. She also served on the Olympic Sailing Committee until 2016.

She’s never seen anything effect the games like coronavirus has.

COVID-19 forced the start of the games to be postponed for the first time in their history.

Newman Cronin’s book “Ferry to Cooperation Island”, which comes out in June, has some themes that she feels can help navigate these uncertain times.
