Long lines in the Massachusetts vaccine finder website
BOSTON, MASS (WLNE) – 50,000 new vaccination appointments opened online at 8:30 AM, and as expected, some residents are waiting in lines up to 30,000 people ahead of them.
Governor Baker said that the state has taken steps to improve to ensure the site does not crash this time around.
To avoid a sitewide crash, steps were taken to improve server capacity and a “digital waiting room” was added to help manage heavy user load up.
To avoid a crash, their appointment schedules are having a staggered release throughout the day.
Some residents are saying they are frustrated because even if they find an appointment, it’s usually gone by the time they fill out all the needed information.
Residents looking to schedule an appointment can do so here.
