Longtime ABC 6 Sports Director Ken Bell inducted into Rhode Island Radio and Television Hall of Fame

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — Thursday was a special night for all of us at ABC 6 News.

Our sports director emeritus, Ken Bell, was inducted into the Rhode Island Radio and Television Hall of Fame.

Bell started his long distinguished career in Colorado while in college in 1969, before making his wat to Providence in 1977 and starting with ABC 6 in 1982.

He retired from WLNE in 2017 after over 30 years as the station’s lead sports anchor.

Bell always shined alight on the stories that deserved to be told.
