UPDATE: Luis Mendonca, beaten on surveillance camera by Providence police late last year, is in Attleboro District Court.

Mendonca's whereabouts had not been known since Tuesday when he did not appear at a court date.

In a story that gets stranger by the minute, a new twist. Early Wednesday afternoon, Mendonca's attorney, and family thought he was taken to the Bristol County House of Correction, in Dartmouth, MA. That apparently wasn't the case.
