Lynn residents told to ‘shelter in place’ with shooting suspect at large

LYNN, Mass. (WLNE) — Massachusetts State Police are urging residents in several Lynn neighborhoods to shelter in place as a shooting suspect is currently at large.
Police said at around 11:30 this morning, a shooting happened in the area of Commercial and Neptune Streets.
The shooting is believed to have been targeted and not random.
Police have further advised residents in the Commercial Street, South Street, Market Square and South Common to lock their doors and shelter in place.
Area schools are also impacted by the shelter in place order.
Anyone with information regarding the shooting or the location of the suspect is urged to call 911 immediately.
