Macy’s Parade increased security measures

NEW YORK, N.Y. — There will be beefed up security at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade Thursday.

Officials say they will not be taking any chances following repeated threats about a possible attack.

More than 80 sanitation trucks filled with sand will be used to create a physical barrier along the parade route.
