Maddie Potts Memorial Field House unveiled at Chariho High School

WOOD RIVER JUNCTION, R.I. (WLNE) — Almost five years after her tragic death, the Maddie Potts Memorial Field House officially opened at Chariho Regional High School on Sunday.

The 17-year-old standout athlete and team captain, Maddie Potts, died suddenly of an aneurysm on Sept. 23, 2017, while playing on the soccer field. Her family started the Maddie Potts Foundation in her honor.

The field house opened at Wood River Junction during a ribbon cutting ceremony. The new state-of-the-art field house includes restrooms, an athletic training room, and a home locker room.
