Magic of McCoy: Remembering Lou Schwechheimer

The Pawtucket Red Sox were known for their “triple crown” at the ownership level: owner Ben Mondor, president Mike Tamburro, and general manager Lou Schwechheimer.

Schwechheimer died in July due to coronavirus complications.

He left Pawtucket in 2015 to pursue his dream of owning his own team. His ownership group with the Wichita Wind Surge was set to open a new stadium this spring.

Schwechheimer tragically never lived to see his team play in the new stadium. His memory lives on in Pawtucket.
