Making the Team: Brenden Schooler Making Impact on Special Teams, Defense

The Patriots’ Brenden Schooler is an undrafted rookie defensive back out of Texas, but he’s got the potential to become another one of New England’s core special teams players.

Schooler is already playing on multiple units in the kicking game. He downed Lil’Jordan Humphrey’s touchback saving punt coverage play Friday and intercepted a Panthers pass in the closing seconds of the exhibition game.

He’s constantly side-by-side with Matthew Slater and the other Patriots’ special teams leaders.
