Man, 24, shot to death in his car in Central Falls

CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. (WLNE) — A man was killed and another was hurt in a shooting in Central Falls on Wednesday night.

Police were called to a reported shooting at about 8:15 p.m. in the area of Garfield Street and Fuller Avenue.

Officers found 24-year-old Leony Cabrera of Central Falls in his white Toyota. He died from multiple gunshot wounds and crashed into a parked vehicle.

Police said another 24-year-old man was shot multiple times. He was brought to Rhode Island Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No arrests were made and the shooting is under active investigation.
