Man, 59, killed in Fairhaven crash
FAIRHAVEN, Mass. (WLNE) — The Bristol County District Attorney’s Office said that a 59-year-old man was killed in a crash over the weekend in Fairhaven.
The two-car crash happened just after 7 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of Main and Hedge streets.
District Attorney Thomas Quinn said George Thatcher was driving a red Chevrolet sedan south on Main Street, when he crossed over the double yellow line into the northbound lane and hit a gray Toyota Rav4.
Quinn said inside the Toyota was a 36-year-old man, his 33-year-old wife, and two children — ages 1 and 4. They were all taken to St. Luke’s Hospital with minor injuries.
Quinn said the 59-year-old, who’s from Fairhaven, was also taken to St. Luke’s Hospital, where he died.
