Man accused of attempting to storm cockpit on JetBlue flight from Boston

BOSTON, Mass. (WLNE)- A man attempted to storm the cockpit of a JetBlue flight out of Boston on Wednesday, according to the FBI.

The FBI said that Khalil El Dahr got out of his seat and rushed towards the flight deck, screaming in Spanish and Arabic that he wanted to be shot.

The incident took place just 45 minutes before the flight’s scheduled arrival in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Flight attendants were able to restrain El Dahr, using a neck tie to tie has ankles together and seat belt extenders to wrap his torso.

In total, it took at least six crew members to restrain El Dahr.
