Man Accused of DUI, Hitting State Police Cruiser Released

The Bridgewater man who hit a Massachusetts state police cruiser over the weekend is back on the streets.

ABC6 cameras were rolling in court Monday as Matthew Charette pled not guilty to drunk driving.

The judge ordered Charette to avoid alcohol and released him.

Police say Charette had a blood alcohol level more than twice the legal limit when he hit the cruiser of Trooper Corey Rose early Saturday morning.

Trooper Rose was not seriously hurt.
