Man accused of murdering 81-year-old at Warren nursing home

WARREN, R.I. (WLNE) — A 76-year-old man is accused of murdering an 81-year-old man patient at a nursing home in Warren.

The incident happened just after 10 p.m. Thursday at the Crestwood Nursing & Rehabilitation.

While police didn’t provide additional information, they said the 76-year-old patient was charged with first degree murder.

The Rhode Island Attorney’s General’s Office identified the suspect as Robert Hill.

Hill was taken to Providence District Court, where he was arraigned on that charge and was held without bail.

The attorney general’s office said the suspect is currently being held at the Adult Correctional Institutions pending a competency evaluation.
