Man arrested after armed robbery in Pocasset

Bourne Police arrested a man Saturday after an armed bank robbery in Pocasset.

The suspect, identified as 57-year-old Lewis Thomas Moses Jr. of Buzzards Bay, entered the TD Bank on Barlows Landing Road brandishing a firearm. Moses then demanded money before leaving with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Officers encountered Moses in a wooded area of Commerce Park Road. After a short standoff, Moses relinquished his weapon and was taken into custody.

Massachusetts State Police and the Barnstable County Sheriffs Office aided in the apprehension.

The suspect’s weapon was determined to be a BB gun.
