Man arrested at Brown University for sneaking into dorms identified

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A man charged with staying inside a Brown University dorm without permission has been identified.

Thony Greene was charged with unlawful breaking and entering and willful trespass.

Greene, who’s 27 years old, is accused of staying in the basement of the dormitory for a elongated period of time.

According to court documents, Greene was arraigned Monday. His bail was set at $5,000.

Greene has a lengthy criminal history dating back to 2014, including to previous willful trespass cases at Brown University from 2014 and in May of this year.

Sophomores living in Wayland Hall said they ran into the man twice Sunday. He allegedly snuck into their dorms and took off after being confronted by the students.
