A
26-year-old Robert Pastena was arrested earlier this week and charged with impersonating a police officer and assault with a dangerous weapon.
Officers took action after a motorist involved in the road rage incident reported that Pastena had pointed a gun at the victim’s car on the highway. The victim also reported that Pastena got out of his vehicle and pointed the gun again, claiming that he was a cop.
Police say they found a Plymouth County Sheriff’s badge and a loaded handgun in Pastena’s vehicle.
Police reports show that he admitted to having the badge but denied flashing a gun.
It’s still unclear if Pestena works for the Sheriff’s Department.
