Fairhaven Police Detectives have arrested a man in relation to a housebreak at a Howland Street home on September 12th.

22-year-old David Norman of Rochester was taken into custody last Monday after allegedly stealing numerous firearms and ammunition from the home.

Detectives believe Norman broke into the gun safe, and stole eight assorted handguns and ammunition.

The gun that were stolen include a Smith and Wesson 9 millimeter, a Luger 9 millimeter, a 45 semiautomatic, a black powder 44 caliber and three revolvers.

Police have managed to recover one of the guns but the remaining firearms are still missing, and are not in the suspect’s possession.

Norman was charged with eight counts of larceny of a firearm, two counts of vandalism, breaking and entering in the nighttime to commit a felony, larceny from a building, and unlawful possession of a firearm.

He was arraigned in Third District Court and held, pending a dangerous hearing.
