Man arrested for fatal shooting at South Shore Plaza

QUINCY, MASS. (WLNE)- Braintree Police announced Wednesday that a man has been arrested for a fatal shooting that took place inside the South Shore Plaza last month.

Julius Hammond-Desir, 19, of Maynard was arrested in a Dorchester neighborhood.

The arrest was made by members of the Braintree Police, Boston Police, and Massachusetts State Police.

Dijoun C. Beasley, 26, was shot while shopping on the main floor of the plaza and was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Desir is being arraigned for murder and due to face a judge at Quincy District Court Wednesday.
