Man arrested for cooking meth in Newport hotel room

A Pawtucket man was busted for allegedly running a methamphetamine operation in a Newport hotel room.

Sean Costigan, 51, was arrested after federal agents raided his room at the Pineapple Inn on Thursday and found materials used to manufacture and distribute meth.

The investigation first began in April of 2013. Undercover agents purchased meth from Costigan on 4 occasions from October to December. The purchases ranged in price from $100 to $400.

Costigan is now in federal custody on drug trafficking charges.
