Man arrested in connection with Fall River bank robbery

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — Fall River police arrested a man in connection with a bank robbery that occurred Friday afternoon.

Russell Golden was arrested and charged with unarmed robbery for allegedly robbing Santander Bank on 141 North Main St.

Police said the suspect, who is 55-years-old, entered the bank early Friday afternoon and gave the teller a handwritten note demanding money.

After receiving the money he then fled the scene on foot, they added.
