Man arrested in New Bedford for stolen property

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) – New Bedford Police Department arrested a man on various charges.

On December 3, around 2 a.m., NBPD responded to a call regarding a masked man with a sweatshirt and a backpack trying car doors at the intersection of Tremont and Elm Street. The officer located the man a short distance away and identified him. During the background search, the man was found to have two active warrants for his arrest.

While searching the suspects backpack, officers found a laptop that later came back registered to the Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School. He was also found with a stolen scooter.
