Providence Police have arrested a man they say raped and robbed a woman over the weekend and is being investigated in another attack on a 15-year-old girl.

Police say that on Friday, 18-year-old Fredrick Dahn of Killingly St. arranged a meeting with a 26-year-old Fall River woman who had advertised on backpage.com

According to the report, Dahn took the woman to an abandoned house on Killingly St. but refused to pay her.

She says Dahn pulled a gun out when she tried to leave, and then raped her, stole her purse and ordered to her to “turn around and count” before fleeing.

The victim gave police a description of the suspect, and he was spotted Saturday at the Family Dollar store on Hartford Avenue while investigators where there examining surveillance of the subject who used the victim’s stolen credit cards.

Dahn was questioned and taken into custody. Police found the victim’s cellphone and credit cards on him. At his apartment, police found and seized a gun.

This attack is similar to an incident involving a 15-year-old girl the week before, according to police. That incident is still under investigation.

Dahn was charged with first-degree robbery, sexual assault, and kidnapping.
