Man charged with drug distribution in a school zone

Rhode Island State Police have arrested a Central Falls man on multiple drugs charges, including drug distribution within a school zone.

Police searched the Worth Street home of 21-year-old Reynaldo Colon Rivera, seizing 170 grams of crack cocaine and $3,910 in cash.

Rivera was arrested and charged with possession of crack/cocaine with the intent to deliver, and the manufacture/possession with intent to deliver within 300 yards of a school zone.

He was ordered held without bail at the Adult Correctional Institute until his bail hearing on November 7th. He is also being held on a Superior Court violation after he was sentenced to six years with two to serve, charged with the manufacturing and possession of drugs in 2011.
