Update: Man identified in fatal Cranston motorcycle crash

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) – A man was killed in Cranston after he crashed his motorcycle on Pontiac Avenue.
Police have since identified this victim as 34-year-old John A. Mattesini III of Cranston.
Police responded to the crash Sunday night around 11:30 p.m.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The man was traveling south on Pontiac Avenue when he hit a curb and then a fire hydrant.
Police have not yet released the name of the driver, but said that speed may have been a factor in the crash.
