UPDATE: Police identify man who died after falling from escalator at Providence Place

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – Providence Police have identified the man who died after falling from an escalator at Providence Place Mall Monday.

Officials say Joshua Martin, 45, of Pawtucket,  lost his balance on an escalator, falling onto the floor of the food court below  around 10:30 P.M. Monday.

Martin was transported to Rhode Island hospital, where he died from his injuries.
