Man grazed by bullet in downtown Providence Sunday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Providence police responded to a report of shots fired Sunday afternoon.

Shots rang out just before 2 p.m. in front of the Renaissance Hotel on a busy day in the city.

One person was grazed by a bullet. Police said they believe both the suspect and victim knew each other.

The Renaissance Hotel is just steps away from both the State House as well as the Providence Place Mall.

The Providence Fire Department also responded to the scene.

No word on the victims condition or arrests at this time.
