Man held charged with murder in Portsmouth killing held without bail
PORTSMOUTH, R.I. (WLNE) — A man charged with first degree murder in connection to a killing in Portsmouth was held without bail on Tuesday.
Jacob Morrill, 24, of Portsmouth, entered no plea in Newport District Court.
Police responded to a home on West Main Road at about 11 p.m. Monday. They soon told an ABC 6 News crew they were investigating a homicide.

Morrill was arrested Monday night and charged with first degree murder.
Police have not released the victim’s name or cause of death.
