Man injured in targeted shooting in Cranston, police say

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — Cranston police said a man was injured in a targeted shooting Monday night.

The shooting happened at about 11 p.m. on Mica Avenue.

Maj. Todd Patalano said Tuesday someone approached a home on that street and fired several rounds, hitting a 32-year-old man.

The man, whose name wasn’t immediately released, was shot twice. He was taken to Rhode Island Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Patalano said the shooting was a targeted attack on the home and those living there.
