UPDATE: Police identify man killed in head-on collision in Cranston

CRANSTON, R.I. — A Providence man has died after crashing his truck into a SUV in Cranston Sunday morning.

Officials say 36-year-old Hector Alicea of Providence was driving on Union Avenue around 3:10 a.m. Sunday when his truck veered into oncoming traffic and crashed into a 2005 Lexus KX.

Police say he was not wearing a seatbelt.

Two passengers in the SUV including a child were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

The incident remains under investigation.
