Man killed in rollover crash in Stoughton on Monday morning

STOUHGTON, Mass. (WLNE) – Police said a man has died after sustaining serious injuries in a rollover crash in Stoughton on Monday morning.

Massachusetts State Troopers responded to the rollover crash on Rt. 24 north in Stoughton just before 11 a.m.

After investigating, troopers determined that a Lexus drove off the right side of Rt. 24 and rolled over multiple times.

According to State Police, a woman was trapped inside of the car before being extricated by first responders.  She was transported to Boston Medical Center with serious injuries.

State Police said that the woman involved was a 47-year-old Boston resident.

On Tuesday, authorities identified the 69-year old killed as Sylvester Jones of Brockton.

He was transported to Boston Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Massachusetts State Police said they are still investigating into who was driving the car, as well as the cause of the crash.
