Man killed, woman hurt in domestic incident in Woonsocket

WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — A man was killed in a domestic incident in Woonsocket early Monday morning.

Police said they were called to a house on Fairmount Street just before 2:15 a.m.

A man in his 50s was fatally shot. Police said his wife was also shot and was taken to Rhode Island Hospital.

Two other people in the home at the time, a 3-year-old and a 20-year-old, were not injured.

An ABC 6 News crew on scene at about 4:30 a.m. learned that police were getting a search warrant for the house.

Police said everyone in the home is related.

No further information on the domestic incident was immediately released.
